One of my Faves off There is no competition 2
The part about the cafe called Tattoos is my favourite, love the animation of Karl suspiciously writing in his diary 😂
“He’s that fat and lazy that he can’t play a more active game on a game’s console” is fucking hilarious, Karl is a genius
i love how the format of the segment takes shape in the first few minutes. ricky has a go at reading but isn't fluent enough because his thinking about the diary throws off his delivery, then steve takes over the reading with much better rhythm leaving ricky to react as the audience hears it.
I'm so glad I live in the parallel universe where Steve took over the reading of Karl's diary from Ricky.
“Had a drink at a bar, everyone sat and watched one of the local cats lick its bollocks” 🤣
I also think in my own voice and have had this same exact conversation with people who don't. Apparently we're very uncommon.
Puerto Mogan, I spotted a bar called Tattoos.
1:30
1:14 that's what she said.
"a watch that counted down your life"
We got anymore carp? We got a carp that's actually done anything?
3:34 One of the funniest bits I’ve ever heard.
How sarcastic can Ricky gervais real or extremely
6:37 best vacation ever.
I think in my accent.
I genuinely think Karl is the most intelligent of the three
Honestly. Yeah. He's also the most down to Earth
LOOK HOW BIG IT IS!
1:26 "Me writing's quite big, innit?" **only seven words take up two whole pages** I love that part
"Sat in a bar watching the cat lick his bollocks" had me in stitches 🤣🤣🤣ffs
'everyone watched one of the local cats lick it's bollocks'
Steven Hawkings sound of his own thoughts is really good.
There's a film about a watch that counts backwards and you can buy more time from people. Stole it from Karl
As a Swede, from now on I am thinking in Karl's accent as well... That's wierd innit?
He thinks in his own accent. Stephen Hawking thinking in that robotic voice. Genius
10 years on and Karl still writing his experiences 😂
Karl is a stupid kind of genius.
I think in full sentences
... in my own accent
Karl's diary reminded me of a lot of social media post lol
Karl is my own personal Jesus Christ.
Ricky: I don't think in sentences. That's why your thoughts just pour out of your huge face! Seriously, Ricky says almost as much dumb shit as Karl, it's just that Ricky's is loaded with smugness
Thinking in complete sentences isn't normal?
“And do you hope that this one day will become one of the great literally documents like Samuel Peeps diary?” “Urm I haven’t heard of that, is it any good?”
‘The cafe was called tattoos, the fella who owned it didn’t have tattoos.... but we never saw his wife’. Absolute genius.
I can't stop imagining wheatley talking to the two other guys
It’s a journal! It’s not a book of inventions he wants to make, u asking him how a passing idea works is so stupid as obviously he doesn’t know
Is it just me or do Ricky and Steve kinda seem like Jerks Like the watch idea, he just had an idea that he thought would be an intresting invention and they grill him and call him an idiot for not coming up with how it works as if he was presenting it in dragons den not just thinking of a neat concept They also never seem to let karl explain himself they junp to conclustokns berate him laugh and then move on
I mean that's the joke, Karl isn't actually like this, it's just a character he plays as...I think
"The hotel's a bit odd. I've never seen as many cross-eyed people in one location". LMAO XD XD XD XD XD Oh, my stomach hurts.
bruh he made the app watch
Rick and Steve inadvertently revealed here that they don't have an internal narrative and are actually in the minority. Whilst they were taking the piss out of Karl like he was a nutter, the majority of people can 'talk' in their heads, I wonder if they are both now aware of this.
It sounds like it was written to be read on the show
Roughly a third of people think in images, a third think in words and a further third can do both to a degree. I think in words, not images, so it's a fair point from Karl
Steven hawking used to be able to talk Carl…
Obviously people think in whole sentences , how else would you think?!? In single words ?
6:38 - 6:47 May just be my favourite moment in the entire series. The banality of both the description and of the moment itself. The fact it's just four men brought together by happenstance in an otherwise empty bar with nothing better or more entertaining to do than just watch a Cat do Cat stuff; alongside the blank and somewhat disappointed look on their faces as they watch and drink. All of that punctuated by Ricky's appropriate laughter at the situation Karl happened to live through and conjure up a wonderful image through the bland language which was effortlessly delivered by Steve. Just ten seconds of hilarious humanity.
I think stuff out in sentences in my head like karl and i don’t know weather to be concerned or proud
Me and the boys at in the morning: 1:10 Edit: changes 3 so it wouldn't be a time stamp
Karl is so unintentionally hilarious.
Told Suzanne about the invention, she said she woulnd't buy one, but she said that about the iPod. Suzanne is clearly a fool.
Wtf is Samuel peeps diary
That’s weird about the thoughts thing and some ppl actually do
